I ended my busy work week at a great workshop at the Warburg Institute yesterday, titled ‘Love and Work: Materialising creative approaches to archives’.
Sancho Conference
Our long-awaited conference was a huge success! Titled Charles Ignatius Sancho: A Black British Man of Letters and His Word, the two day conference included 22 international speakers and a live performance of Sancho’s music compositions.
BSECS 2026
My first conference presentation was at the annual British Society for Eighteenth Century Studies at Pembroke College this January.

On Wednesday, my colleague Libby and I presented our current work on the Switching the Lens database, which compiled over 3,300 baptism, burial and marriage records of Londoners of colour between 1560 and 1860.

Global Fellowship Symposium
